I CAN'T BREATHE
Let me go, I can’t breathe
Got to have a space of my own,
got to be free
I hear voices ringing in my head
It’s these times that I mostly dread
Days go by and everything is fine
I find joy and pleasure in my mind
People entertain me in different ways
A sense of excitement fills the days
The ease of existence is a puzzle to solve
Many ways have been designed to resolve
The tensions that rise up in the fog
And leaves your mind in a bog
Crisis from yesteryear begin to scream
It feels like an endless dream
Voices from our father and mother
Wailing social cries from the faces of others
These chains surface and cause confusion
Break these chains or you will lose us
Listen to the voice of the quiet little man
He knows how; just take him by the hand
Let me go I can’t breathe
Got to have a space of my own,
got to be free
I hear voices ringing in my head
It’s these times that I mostly dread
