The result isn’t true

An actor is supposed to stop being himself and become something else. So a strange thing happens: this piece of machinery, the camera, captures everything. That is, it captures the actor who is both himself and something else at the same time. If we look closely, we can see that there is something false; the result isn’t true. In cinema, what is real produces an effect, an effect so profound it can result from the tiniest things, from the most subtle things.
