What do you think of Color?

The problem with color is not a problem of color. It's something else entirely. It doesn't matter if color is good or bad. It's always possible to use the good part of a bad tool, on the condition that you know it's bad. It's what distinguishes a good craftsman from a bad one: the good one knows how to choose his tools. No, the problem isn't color. It's the magical quality-the dispersive, distracting quality-of color that prohibits, for the moment, its effective use in drama and tragedy.
